What is measured, what is known, what is assumed
Every estimate is quantity × rate. Quantities come from the building outline, the laser survey and the imagery, and are measured. Rates are known once you enter your buy prices and labour, and assumed until then. Allowances (waste, offcuts, screws per sheet) are assumed until calibrated against your past jobs. Wind class is computed by the AS 4055 method and you can override it per suburb.
